PlacesImporter ("the Plugin") is a WordPress plugin developed and maintained by an independent developer based in Taiwan. This Privacy Policy describes how the Plugin handles data when installed and used on a WordPress website.
PlacesImporter（「本外掛」）是由台灣獨立開發者開發並維護的 WordPress 外掛。本隱私政策說明外掛在安裝並運行於 WordPress 網站時的資料處理方式。
We are committed to transparency. PlacesImporter does not collect personal data from your website visitors, and your imported business data never leaves your own server except to the API services you configure. The only data that can reach us is licensing and, if you opt in, basic usage information handled through Freemius — see Section 4.
我們致力於透明化。PlacesImporter 不收集您網站訪客的個人資料，您匯入的店家資料除了傳送給您自行設定的 API 服務外，不會離開您的伺服器。唯一可能傳送給我們的，是透過 Freemius 處理的授權資料，以及您同意分享時的基本使用資訊——詳見第 4 節。
2. Data Stored on Your Site2. 儲存在您網站上的資料
PlacesImporter stores the following data only within your own WordPress database:

- API Keys — Your SerpApi and Google Gemini API keys, stored in WordPress options (access restricted to administrators only)

- Plugin Settings — Your configured preferences (minimum rating, import filters, sync interval, which fields to update during sync, businesses synced per day)

- Business Data — Google Places information (name, address, hours, photos, reviews, amenities) fetched and stored as WordPress listings in your database, along with the time each listing was last synced

PlacesImporter connects to the following external services to function. Their respective privacy policies apply:

4. Licensing & Usage Data (Freemius)4. 授權與使用資料（Freemius）
PlacesImporter uses the Freemius SDK to manage licenses, payments, free trials and automatic updates. Freemius acts as our data processor.

- Opt-in usage data — When you activate the plugin, you are asked whether to share basic information. Only if you agree, Freemius receives: your name and email address (the WordPress admin account), your site URL, WordPress and PHP versions, site language, the list of installed plugins and themes, and plugin events (activation, deactivation, uninstall). You can choose Skip and the plugin works exactly the same.
- 自願分享的使用資料 — 啟用外掛時會詢問您是否分享基本資訊。只有在您同意時，Freemius 才會收到：WordPress 管理員的姓名與 Email、網站網址、WordPress 與 PHP 版本、網站語系、已安裝的外掛與佈景主題清單，以及外掛事件（啟用、停用、解除安裝）。您可以選擇略過，外掛功能完全不受影響。
- Pro license — Activating a Pro license requires sending your license key and site URL to Freemius so the license can be verified and updates delivered.

- Payments — Purchases are processed by Freemius on its own checkout. We never see or store your card details.

We use this information only to provide licensing, updates and support, and to understand which WordPress and PHP versions to support. Your API keys and imported business data are never sent to Freemius or to us.

Your API keys, settings and imported business data are stored exclusively on your own WordPress server. The plugin developer has no access to them at any time.

Regarding security measures built into the plugin:

- SSRF protection prevents unauthorized outbound requests during image downloads

- MIME-type validation ensures only legitimate image files are saved to your server

- Business descriptions from Google or the AI are filtered before being stored, preventing script injection into your listing pages

- All AJAX endpoints are protected by WordPress nonces and capability checks

- User inputs are sanitized and validated before being stored

6. Data Sharing6. 資料分享
PlacesImporter does not sell or rent any data. Business data flows only between your WordPress server and the API services you have configured (SerpApi, Google Gemini). Licensing and opt-in usage data are shared only with Freemius as described in Section 4.

7. Your Rights7. 您的權利
Since your business data is stored within your own WordPress installation, you have full control:

- Access — All imported data is accessible via your WordPress admin

- Deletion — Deleting the plugin via WordPress removes all plugin-specific settings and scheduled tasks. Imported listings remain as regular ListingPro content that you can keep or delete
- 刪除 — 透過 WordPress 刪除外掛時，會移除所有外掛相關設定與排程工作；已匯入的店家會保留為一般 ListingPro 內容，可自行保留或刪除
- Opt out — You can stop sharing usage data at any time from the plugin's Account page, or request deletion of data held by Freemius by contacting us
- 退出分享 — 您可隨時在外掛的 Account（帳號）頁面停止分享使用資料，或聯絡我們要求刪除 Freemius 保存的資料
- Portability — Your data remains in standard WordPress format and can be exported at any time
